All restaurant bookings are warmly welcomed inside our charming building. We take pride in being a family-friendly venue, and we encourage parents to keep a watchful eye on their children as we are a working vineyard.
We’re also happy to be a dog-friendly venue! While we kindly ask that dogs remain outside the restaurant and cellar door, please ensure they are leashed and well-cared for. We appreciate your help in keeping our space clean and enjoyable for everyone.
Reviews
Rabbit terrine and arancini balls for entrees were divine. The steak was the best I have had that I can remember. The jus was so punchy and I just wanted to pick my plate up and lick it. The confit duck was beautiful as well. Dessert... yum yum yum sticky toffee pudding and the soufflé were so so good. I can't rave enough about the food and service. Try it – you wont be disappointed!

Great food, great service, great views. Had a family party here with 15 people. The services and quality of food were exceptional. Highly recommend.
– Melanie
Fabulous location. Mountains, sea and winery scenario. Felt like I was in Tuscany.
– Mario
I came here with my parents that are from Tasmania! Wine capital of Australia! It was fantastic! Definitely didn’t disappoint.

I pass this place nearly every day whilst at work and don't take much notice of it sat there on the hill. What a mistake, it has got a magnificent view from the restaurant over the vineyards that places in the Hunter could only dream of, with top quality food to match. What I like most about it though is that the pricing is so easy. Two courses for one price or three courses for another which makes it so much easier if you're in a group. The food was amazing and the service great by very friendly staff. Definitely worth getting off the highway for.

What an incredible evening we had. The menu was well planned and the wines perfectly matched. It was a classic degustation of sampling which meant that we were then able to purchase wine for the table which we had enjoyed. Even though I have frequented the Cellar Door many times and am a fan of the wines it was wonderful to be able to experience them with food which best compliments them. Well done Crooked River Winery for keeping it classy. Very much looking forward to the next degustation evening.
– Maree
Good food, great views and impeccable service are what I normally look for when dining at a beautiful vineyard like this. I am not one to gloat and rave on about how good my experience was, but I truly feel that the team here at this excellent winery deserves nothing but a true and honest review. Compliments to the chef and helpful staff behind the bar.

Greeted by friendly and attentive staff at the restaurant. Pork belly and lamb shanks - yum. Excellent chardonnay and cab sav. The cellar door offered tastings of the wine we wanted and we had a good discussion with the owner. A very good find and would go back there again.
– John
This is a fabulous winery offering the most beautiful view of rolling vineyards of the Crooked River Winery Estate. There is a great restaurant on site and live bands are a regular here. Wines are great and Uncle Joe's beers are fantastic too.
– Jenny
What an amazing place - incredible views of the mountains and vines with lovely large glass windows in the restaurant. The food was cooked beautifully had the duck and enjoyed a nice bottle of Crooked River Sauv Blanc. Service was fantastic, would highly recommend. A bit noisy when there are lots of people but still definitely worth visiting.

We had such an overwhelmingly positive experience with Rachel and the venue generally, we absolutely couldn't fault it. Rachel was helpful through the whole process, quick to respond, approachable & so accommodating with everything we wanted. All our guests said the staff were amazing on the day - the food was incredible, the bar service was quick and easy, and the staff were all lovely. I've had multiple guests who have worked in weddings themselves over the years say they thought the service was outstanding.
