Our latest batch of Black Top Cabernet is one for the personal Cellar! Made with the fruit harvested on Blocks 2 and 3; our prized north facing vines. This vintage was made with the Cellar in mind, but still youthful and bold for those who like a bit of “fight” in their reds. The summer of 2021 was good for these North facing Cabernet Sauvignon vines, allowing a later harvest.

Notes: Late harvest vintage. Matured 18 months in French and American Hogsheads.
Appearance: Dark Purple
Tasting Notes: The wine provides notes of dark plum, black berries, licorice with a lightly sweet tomato vine scent. Secondary notes of char, toast and vanilla dress the fruit perfectly. The body is bold and generous with a chalky tannin accompanied by white pepper flavours. Long plum finish.
